# Using the WebUI — actions on a message in channel rooms

**Any screen not listed here does not exist.** Headings quote the screen's own wording.

**Part of the channels guide. Other topics:**
channels, the unified chat, its rooms, AI labels, and 「AI アクセス」: `references/webui-workspace-channels.md`;
AI replies in rooms: `references/webui-workspace-channels-ai-reply.md`;
mail in rooms (connecting, recipients, forwarding, signatures): `references/webui-workspace-channels-mail.md`;
conversations, the input box, and sign-in: `references/webui.md`;
documents, files, tables, memory, channels, and apps: `references/webui-workspace.md`;
editing a file in place (「編集」): `references/webui-file-edit.md`;
SIROE pages, blocks, and boards: `references/webui-siroe.md`;
settings, administration, models, and triggers: `references/webui-settings.md`;
external service connections: `references/webui-connections.md`;
`/office`: `references/webui-office.md`;
`/meetings`: `references/webui-meetings.md`;
`/calendar`: `references/webui-calendar.md`.

These actions sit in the bar that appears when you point at a message in an external room (on a touch screen the bar is always shown).

## 「発言を編集」

Fixes a message you sent from this screen. **The original service is changed too**, so the other side sees the new text.

- **Where it appears**: on your own messages that reached Slack, Microsoft Teams, Chatwork, or Google Chat, including AI automatic replies sent under your name. It does not appear on other people's messages, on messages still sending or that failed to send, on deleted messages, or on messages sent with a file.
- **Not available for**: LINE (official and personal), Messenger, Gmail, Outlook mail, and calendars. These have no way to change a message after it is sent.
- **How**: the message becomes an input box. 「保存」 or ⌘Enter (Ctrl+Enter on Windows) saves, 「キャンセル」 or Esc closes without saving, and Enter starts a new line. 「保存」 stays off while the text is empty or unchanged.
- **Mentions while editing**: on Slack and Chatwork, a mention appears as `@name`. Leave the name as it is and the message still mentions that person after saving; change or delete the name and the mention is removed. A mention whose name cannot be looked up, or that two people share, stays in the service's own spelling (such as `<@U123>` or `[To:123]`) and also still works if left as is. A name typed here is plain text: this box has no `@` list.
- **After saving**: the message shows 「(編集済み)」. The edit history is not kept.
- **When the service refuses**: the message stays as it was, and the input box stays open with your text and the reason. A message you sent with your own connected account cannot be fixed while that connection is broken. In a Teams thread, a message sent with your own account cannot be fixed.

## 「本文をコピー」 and 「リンクをコピー」

「本文をコピー」 copies the text as you read it. 「リンクをコピー」 copies this app's link to that message (`/channels?room=<ルーム ID>&at=<メッセージ ID>`); opening it goes to the room, opens the thread if the message is in one, scrolls to the message, and briefly highlights it. Only people who can read the room can open it.

## 「元のメッセージを開く」

Opens the original service in a new tab.

| Service | Where it goes |
| --- | --- |

| Microsoft Teams | The message, for channels only. Not shown for chats |
